Tours

When he was 8 his parents gave him their old Kodak Box Brownie camera. He paparazzied at birthday parties, friends at school, and vacations. At high school he learned basic darkroom techniques and decided to have his own darkroom. Everyone in the family knew that on certain evenings, the kitchen (his makeshift darkroom) was out of bounds. He was always captivated by the shadows he saw; he finds himself hard-wired to focusing upon the transitory, abstract shapes that come and go with the available light. Tours will be held on Tuesdays, January 10th, 17th, and 24th, 9:30–11am. Please call 415.695.5797 to reserve a spot.

On the tour date, sign in and meet outside the school office. A parent-led tour will run from 9:30 to 10:15, followed by the Principal’s talk until 11:00. Parents can bring small children, but please be quiet and respectful of the learning that is taking place. Be dressed for outdoors! It can be cold in the morning.

We are located at 1215 Carolina Street on the south side of Potrero Hill. Street parking is generally available, but finding a space can be difficult in the mornings. Walk around the school via Coral Street to the front door on Carolina. The office is on the right after you enter. Visitors who are not on a tour should sign in for a visitor’s badge.
